MPI PRINT began as a Sheet-fed offset printer in 1998 and this continues to be a major part of our business. In all processes and procedures, customer focus and customer satisfaction remain the cornerstone of our business.

Estimating

MPI PRINT is fanatical about fast response time and customer service. That's why we maintain one of the largest groups of estimators and customer service representatives of any trade printer – 12 staff members at the present time and more to be added in the near future. Simple quotes are responded to either on the phone or within 30 minutes. Specialized or complicated quotes have a turnaround time of less than 4 hours. In the event of a very large and complex quote that involves input from paper mills, they are responded to with 24 hours.

Prepress

Our prepress operation is second to none. AGFA Apogee Automate provides integrated creation, preflighting and imposition. It allows clients to generate PDF proofs through the Apogee Web-approval system. A detailed report highlights any potential problems that can be corrected by you or by our prepress department. Regardless of the state of the file, we intervene when necessary and visually inspect each print job to make sure that it is set-up properly for problem- free print production.

In addition to quality improvements, our prepress process can result in reduced costs as well. The Apogee Automate system 6 allows for the use of the "InkSave" option. This ensures that ink coverage is more efficient and better distributed than traditional means, resulting in lower ink costs to our customers.

While we apply our knowledge and expertise at every stage of the production operation to ensure that every project is printed to its highest potential, we take special care with the prepress function as it can have dramatic consequences if not handled with the eye of an experienced technician.

Press

Our Mitsubishi and Heidelberg Sheet-fed presses, work directly with our advanced Agfa Apogee CTP system, creating an integrated, and flexible workflow that results in reduced production times and reduced costs while delivering high quality offset printing products.

The foundation of our sheet fed operation is our Mitsubishi 8 Colour + AQ Tandem Press with Coater. This press is especially designed for better quality and lower costs because of a straight through flow process. The paper never bends as it moves along the press. This results in three benefits – faster production because of increased speed of paper flow, reduced paper costs because smaller paper formats are used with thinner paper gripping borders and better quality because the paper never needs to bend for the perfecting process.

Each employee is trained to keep a watchful eye at each step of our production process. Employees are empowered to act quickly in the event of a potential problem in maintaining our high quality standards. The combination of highly advanced production techniques, along with the care and diligence of our highly trained technicians, enables us to ensure exceptional high quality print production each and every time. And as always, if anything should not go as planned, we will take the initiative to make it right for our customers.

Bindery & Finishing

Our in-house bindery has an extensive array of state-of-the-art folders, stitchers, cutters, die cutters and sealers. We believe in acquiring the latest technology and equipment as often as possible in order to offer clients the best possible binding and folding options. Our customer service representatives are well versed in what is possible with our binding equipment. We can recommend to clients highly creative folding and binding techniques that are cost effective as well. Simply call us to discuss the options.

We also offer an excellent repertoire of finishing options including die cutting, embossing, numbering, scoring, UV coating, spot UV coating, aqueous coating, varnishing, debossing, foil stamping, perforations, thermography and lamination. At MPI Print, we work closely with you to achieve your desired look and feel that really makes an impact with the clients.

Shipping and Logistics

Our shipping department works closely with production and sales departments to make sure that each and every shipment goes to the desired location. This is especially important on print product runs that involve multiple retail store locations. Each of our shipping technicians is trained to maintain our high levels of quality control and customer satisfaction in the shipping process, just as the rest of our production process.
